Barrel Tuner – Double Nut Style (Type B)

This is a three piece tuner that will screw onto the standard barrel threads and is locked on with a thread locking compound. (Loctite 243) It uses two knurled nuts (316S/S) which are adjusted along the inner sleeve (6061-T6 aluminium) that screws onto the barrel and are locked against each other when the sweet spot is found. There are engraved graduations on the front nut and the inner sleeve so that precise, repeatable adjustments of 0.001″ (0.025mm) are possible. The tuner comes standard with two, 6mm (60grams each) wide nuts as standard. Other nut weights are available.

We also offer three different weight nuts as different barrel lengths and contours may require a heavier or lighter tuner. These are 6mm (60 grams), 8mm (80 grams) and 10mm (100 grams) thick stainless steel nuts. The nuts can be mixed on the tuner to give a range of total weight options.

The tuner nuts come as Type 1 and Type 2 in three different widths. Type 1 nut has the graduations on the front face and an o’ring fitted to the back of the nut to be compressed as the nuts are locked together. Type 2 nut is a plain knurled nut.

The tuner comes standard with two 6mm, 60 gram nuts, one Type 1 and one Type 2.
