Three base models of aluminium barrel vices are manufactured and stocked, a small size that handles all barrel diameters from .625″ (16mm) to 1.0″ (25.4mm), a medium size that accommodates barrels from 1.0″ (25.4mm to 1.75″ (45mm), and a large, heavy duty vice that takes barrels from 0.75″ (19mm) to 2” (50.8mm) with its two sets of removable jaws.

The vices are all a simple two bolt design, aluminium bodies, high tensile steel bolts and are available as twin swing bolt, one swing, one fixed bolt and two fixed bolt designs in the small and medium sized vices.
The larger H/D model has the 16mm H/T bolts fixed into the bottom plate to prevent them turning as the nuts are tightened and are only available in this style. The two jaw sets are supplied as standard with this vice.

These aluminium bodied barrel vices should be suitable for removing and refitting the majority of barrels, but occasionally you will get a really tight barrel that will require a steel barrel vice so you can provide sufficient clamping force on the barrel. We manufacture these special steel vices to order only at the present time.
