Scope Ring Alignment Verification Tool (Type A).
We have now released our latest version of these popular alignment verification tools and they are now precision machined from medium carbon steel and consist of three pieces. Two 103mm long steel bars that mount in your scope rings and a sliding sleeve that fits onto the turned down section of the bars with minimal clearance.
The sliding sleeve internal diameter and the area it slides over on the bars are now precision ground to make for smoother operation and precision sizing.
The sliding sleeve and the test bars are machined to very fine tolerances, and the sliding sleeve has a minimum clearance of 0.0008″ (0.0203mm) and maximum clearance of 0.0013″ (0.0330mm) on the test bars. If your scope rings and base are correctly manufactured, you will be able to slide the sleeve easily from side to side with a drop or two of light oil on the bar.
The bars all have a drilled centre hole to reduce weight for shipping purposes only. This hole does not affect the accuracy or performance of the test bars.
