Armaments by Design now manufactures a range of dovetail and PIC/NATO rails to suit our AbD actions. Rails to fit AbD actions are supplied as a complete kit with dowel pins, screws and fitting instructions included.
Rail mounts are manufactured to suit 12mm, 60 degree dovetails and PIC/Stanag 4694/ NATO standards. Scope rings designed for US-Mill-Std 1913 Picatinny rail will fit the NATO rails as these rails are basically the same as the Picatinny rail but are manufactured to tighter tolerances and utilise a slightly better lock down arrangement for the scope rings.
The rails are fully CNC machined from 7050 Series high tensile aluminium bar stock. This manufacturing process gives a greater degree of accuracy that what is usually available in cast, forged or extruded mounting rails.
AbD action direct mount rails are also fitted with an M4 threaded jacking hole for removal of the rail off the dowel pins without damage.
